The Climb to Justice: Why Successful Personal Injury Cases Require Preparation, Persistence, and Hard Work
So what does mountain climbing have to do with the practice of law? Look at the three pictures. The last one was taken on the summit of Cotopaxi Volcano in Ecuador, 19,347 feet. Due to the Earth’s equatorial bulge, it’s one of the closest places on Earth to stand to the heavenly bodies. My son and I are in the picture. But the path to the summit started long before that.

From a base of fitness, we started specific training five months before that climb. The first picture is of a sunrise on the Athens Courthouse Square that I photographed on my morning run before most people were awake. The second picture is the grunt work of climbing on summit day. We started at midnight and reached the summit about an hour after daybreak.

Representing a client in a personal injury case is like climbing a mountain. The result, like the summit, is the end product of a lot of hard work. Most of it is not glamorous or even enjoyable. But it is necessary to bring the result you want to achieve. When you choose your lawyer, make sure he is willing to put in the work to achieve the goal.
There are no shortcuts to the top.
